STATE ASSISTANCE
The State Assistance Information Line is now open and accepting calls 24/7 with English, Spanish and Haitian-Creole speakers available at 1-800-342-3557.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY ASSISTANCE
Use this link to help find distribution centers and comfort stations with showers, laundry, and hot or boxed meals. Residents who need transportation assistance to and from the comfort station should call (833) HC STORM or (833) 427-8676 daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. No IDs will be required at PODs.
HOTEL STAYS
Income-eligible residents of Unincorporated Hillsborough County, Plant City and Temple Terrace, who have been displaced due to Hurricane Milton may be eligible to receive temporary hotel assistance. For further details and eligibility requirements, please call (813) 675-3450.
JOB LOSS
The Departmenf of Labor offers assistance through programs such as Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) to help eligible workers who have lost their jobs or experienced reduced hours due to the hurricane. To find out more, click here.
WALMART DISTRIBUTION AND MEALS
Walmart is providing relief through donations of ice, water, and food, as well as access to showers and laundry. Use this link to find a location closest to you.
FOOD AND GROCERIES BY ZIP CODE
For those who need food delivered, Feeding Tampa Bay is actively distributing food and providing emergency assistance. They offer services to homebound individuals who cannot attend distribution sites. You can contact their Neighbor Services helpline at 813-710-9003 for delivery options, or click here to find a food pantry.

TEMPORARY PROTECTED STATUS (TPS) EXTENSION
USCIS has extended the period to apply to re-register for TPS benefits for citizens of El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Also included for this extension are Haiti, Nepal, and Sudan.
This re-registration extension will allow TPS beneficiaries to submit the forms to register and to request work permit authorization at any time during the 18-month extensions of the TPS designations of these countries.
This extension applies only to those who are already holding TPS status. This extension does not apply to initial registrations.
